After running back in the club ,I quickly looked for Cassie on the dance floor and she and her boyfriend. I wanted to leave right now and panicking l searched them. Shockingly they were missing, they were nowhere to be seen . " Damnit ", l groaned out loudly . Their absence only meant that they might have left for the apartment and they might be doing the deed .

Baffled , l tried calling her but she didn't pick up . I only had one option now , to book a cheap motel which was not far away from the club. Iuckily l wasn't drunk and after making up my mind , l walked out of the club and started making my way to the deserted road. Pulling up my maps from the phone , l got the idea of the general road l had to walk to so l stopped being on my phone and concentrated on my surroundings.

At first l walked without any fear , though there was a forest ahead thank God per now there was no forest on either side of me . I walked for a good couple of minutes but as l did , the night started to sweep into my bones and l began to regret why the hell l didn't bring a coat . It was all Cassie's idea so l had to bear up with it .

I soon found it unbearable and l held my hand bag across my chest with a hope that l will at least get some warmth . I walked a good long distance that I soon felt blisters forming on my pinky toe and the pointy heels were making it tough to walk on the road with debris . The only thing that kept me reassured were the straps that crisscrossed on my legs to my calves .

Slowly losing my confidence , l looked behind the road and saw no single soul in my line of sight . To my right there were some big buildings but they were closed and shut tight . To my left there was shockingly a forest. Finally l now had something to frighten need . I fisted my hands and released them in fear , I was now a dead meat .

I could see the motel sign from where l was standing but l couldn't speed up . My shoes couldn't allow me . Clutching my bag for a little strength , l tried to walk faster . I could hear a faint sound coming behind me . I was not sure but now it reminded me that this road wasn't safe at night . Afraid , l turned and looked behind trying to investigate who it was . It was perhaps the drunkard man .

There was surprisingly nothing and the sound seemed to vanish . I relaxed with reassurance and continued to walk again . " There are perhaps some animals in the forest and that means nothing ", l inwardly mumbled to myself . Just as l was inwardly reprimanding myself l all of the sudden heard a huge thud directly next to me . This startled me so bad that as l ran , one of my heels broke but l regained my posture and swirled around in the direction from where the sound had come from.

" Hello ", l called loudly but there was no response and of course l expected that to happen . The noise abruptly stopped . Shrugging my shoulders , l stamped my good heel on the ground so hard and it broke it too . I bent down and picked up my pointy heels and continued with walking .

After some time I collected myself then began running . I could feel the ugliness chasing me from behind . The motel sign was near and far away at the same time . I could feel the thuds to my left increase . I stumbled and looked behind but felt all my blood freeze at what l saw . Just outside the forest stood a large creature staring at me .

My mouth dropped and didn't feel my legs anymore as l stared at it . It looked at me with a wicked snarl on its about . Nothing starting from the claws looked like the wolf l saw before . This one looked ugly , nasty and unnatural . The pointy ears and sharp canines and the dark black fur were enough to make me pee in my panties .

The most shocking part was that , it was standing on its hind legs without using the fore legs to support itself . I swallowed back my saliva which was lodged firmly on my throat and took a shaky step backwards . It saw me retreating and let out a huge bellowing snarl and leaped into the air with it's sharp claws out in it's front .

" Noo my goodness " , A loud scream fall out of my mouth as l ran away . The last thing I saw before I ran towards the motel was that there was dried blood on it's claws . Rearing back my nausea , l ran with all my mighty . I didn't want to have a glory death. I could feel it reaching for me and l knew it that it was close . A putrid smell wafted off it's body and into the air .

I gagged a little and my eyes misted . It really smelled bad . I was now going to be the next blood on it's claws . It covered the ground faster than l . The motel was a few minutes away but then as l did try , the straps on my legs untied and I tripped over . I fell on the grass and immediately curled myself into a fetal position .

I now knew that l was going to be a dinner for whatever creature it was .
