late in the night

Accepting my fate , l closed my eyes and waited for pain to follow . As l waited patiently to be eaten , l all of the sudden heard car tires screech on the road . I lifted up my head hurriedly and saw the creature roll off from me . The car swirled around a little but thankfully it didn't hurt anyone .

Noticing that the creature was distracted , l instantly stood up and began to run . While running , l heard the car door open but l didn't turn to see whoever was walking out . I was grateful for whoever was in there , he or she saved my life from the creature . It was annoyed and it was their turn to be eaten . I wasn't ready to save them.

Hurriedly l ducked into one of the community bathrooms and locked myself in the stall . Breathing in a lung ful of air l tried not to pass out but it was a near thing . Sadly even the bathroom was dirty . I just wanted to puke but l had nothing to do . My body was shaking like that of an addict who didn't take his next fix .

I closed the toilet and sat down . Putting my head between my legs , l tried to breath in deeply . I was trying to regulate my inhale and exhale but it was really hard . I felt lightheaded and felt my blood rush to my lungs at the same time . " Oh God , oh God save me ", l kept muttering in my head as l heard the main bathroom door rattle a little .

After some time , I gathered enough strength to sit up . " What the f**k is happening to me ", lt was the only thing running in my mind . Firstly I got a harsh boss , l was then going to be r***d , met a strange man and now the creature wanted to eat me . " Was l smelling something weird that attracted it ", Questions flowed in my mind . I didn't have any answer to them. This was totally a night mare , l wanted to escape .

After collecting myself , I carefully got up on my shaky legs and walked through the deserted restroom to reach the main door . I halted up there with my hand on the handle then stunk my ear to the door and listened carefully . Apart from some men talking and laughing from a distance l couldn't hear anything . This only meant that the creature must have left.

I lastly grabbed the door and slowly turned . I let out a breath when l saw that there was no body outside . For a horrifying moment l thought l imagined it all but l saw a big claw on the door. It just looked like a big scratch but l know, l know it that it might have tried to open the door . A bit frightened , I looked around but there was no sign of the creature . Everything looked fine now .

" Iam safe , thank Goodness ", l kept muttering to myself as l walked to the main lobby . The man behind the counter was on his phone . He passed me a book and l wrote my details . I asked him for a room for a night . He picked up one key and gave it to me . Thanking quickly , I walked away from him .

Using the direction board ,l made it to my room on the first floor . I was little happy about it but things weren't fine .The stairs were made of steel and we're a little unstable . As soon as I was in my room , l removed my bag and earrings , remaining of my pointy heels and then walked in the wash room .

In there , l got naked and stood under the shower . My breath was still shaky and my mind was recalling everything about the creature . I took a long time thinking about it until when my fingers began to prune . After some minutes I took a shuddering breath and wrapped up the towel around myself then walked back in the room . Ignoring the pain in my knees and hands from the fall and l moved forward to the table .

" Oh God! hell no ", Disappointment fall on my face when I removed my phone from my bag . The screen of it was all shattered . The screen was gone and the inner part of it was hanging out . I was now screwed up . I wanted to inform Cassie that l was in a nearby motel but now the phone was dead . Telling myself not to cry ,l pushed the heavy desk to the front of the door then sighed softly . At least that will protect me from the creature

I was still scared to hell . The windows were next but thank Goodness they were glass not wooden. With my towel wrapped around my body , l switched on the tv then sat down on the bed . I tried to forget everything that happened few hours ago as l watched a movie . After a while , l pulled on my tube top and the lace on it .

Getting under the bed , l tried to vain in sleep but l honestly failed . As the memories flowed down in my head , l inwardly asked myself what the heck was going on with my life . Something was really fishy . Sleep lastly claimed me but l didn't even sleep that much . Late in the night , a banging on the door startled me .

" My goodness don't .... ", All the words died , just as someone restrained me on the bed and pressed a cloth on my face. I thrashed my whole body but I couldn't move any inch . I tried so hard but my shouts were muffled by the cloth . There were at least two pairs holding me down , l could never stand any chance. My thrashing slowed down , reaction to some kind of chemical I inhaled from the cloth .

I didn't fight back when my eyes closed and everything became black.
