Nadaria hustled down the hall, careful so the pitcher of water she carried didn’t slosh. It never hurt to carry ammo. But she would love her leather water pouch she usually wore in combat. It was early morning, maybe around two or three, so it flabbergasted her when she rounded the corner and found Nicoleta polishing a silver candlestick. Nadaria furrowed her brow. Nicoleta didn’t hear her there, and was muttering to herself. Nadaria caught the end of the words. “Yeah, well, she didn’t find it. It will all be over tonight.
