Chapter 16 Every so gently, Calix unwrapped the bandage from Mitch’s right hand. “How bad is it?” Mitch asked, his attention totally focused on what would be revealed once the gauze had been removed. Calix spared him a glance. “We’ll see. That burn cream normally does an excellent job. But, the damage you did was extensive.” Mitch didn’t really recall that much. Just the overpowering need to use his gift to free the two men. Nothing else mattered in that moment. He held his breath as the last of the bandage fell away, revealing fiery red skin with some crusty areas.
