She did it. Again.
Nora had used her Alpha Voice.
This time, she had used it against her own father.
Kieran went stock-still, staring at Nora with a mixture of confusion, frustration, and even a hint of pride.
I decided to latch onto that pride.
“Kieran,” I said slowly, “that’s the second time she’s used her Alpha Voice. And it just worked on you, didn’t it?”
He didn’t look at me, but judging from the way his jaw feathered, I could tell my words had hit their mark.
