Charlotte’s POV The infirmary was quiet and smelled like herbs and cleaning solution. I took a step inside, wrapping my arms around my midsection. A few cots were occupied by pack members, but otherwise, I didn’t see any employees. “Do you need help?” a voice called out. I looked up to find a woman in a crisp white healer’s uniform standing a few feet away, holding a tray with little paper cups of various medications. I vaguely recognized her—she was one of Sophia’s friends. Great. I would probably find no help from her, not if Sophia had any influence on her opinion of me.
