I froze at Alpha Kieran’s words. This Alpha was taking me with him? The f**k he was!
Kieran had a reputation for revenge. Was he just trying to humiliate me? Or was there a more sinister reason he wanted to take me away?
Either way, there was no good ending in this for me. If I went back to his pack I would be isolated, and far from the pack I had known since I was a child. I would be at the mercy of this strange and disreputable Alpha!
I found myself shaking my head at the idea.
“Alpha, er…” Jason was talking to Kieran quietly, his hand resting on his chest as though he was giving him advice, “There are many other women in our pack that are more suitable. This woman is a criminal and a slave! She can’t possibly be good enough for you!”
