Charlotte’s POV
Kieran’s appearance was shocking. His knuckles were bloody, but there wasn’t a scratch on him. He looked like he’d been in a fight, but he hadn’t broken a sweat.
Who was this man? And what had he been doing?
I continued to stare at him as he raved and ranted, “Who gave my daughter mushrooms? Guards!”
He stalked over to the plate on the table, then threw it against the wall. I winced at the crash, and Nora whimpered and clung tighter onto me.
At the sound of her cry, Kieran whirled and stalked towards me. From the hallway, several warrior wolves rushed in and stood, waiting for the Alpha’s orders.
“Was it you?” he glared at me as he tried to haul Nora out of my lap, but the girl only clung to me harder and started crying. I slowly shook my head, ‘no’.
