Chapter 29 Michael walked out of the elevator and was stopped by a line of police. “Stop right there,” someone told her. “Get her gun.” They weren’t taking any chances. She put her hands in the air. “I don’t carry a gun,” Michael told them. She looked around as one of the police felt her belt and pockets. Then he shrugged. “I don’t need one.” She continued, “We have one of the Americans missing. We feel she’s been kidnapped by one of the Salavado brothers.” The police looked at each other, and then one of them ran off to find his boss. “Aren’t you an American agent?
