When they got off the elevator on the top deck, two of Ramón’s men were waiting for them. After listening to them for a moment, Ramón turned back to Craig as those two men entered the elevator and left.
“My men are scouring the ship to get all our people back here. Let’s give them a few minutes,” Ramón said.
Everyone stepped back against the wall and waited impatiently. They all wanted to get this over with.
Geraldo edged over to where Cam was standing.
“You do look beautiful,” he told her. “This seems to be coming off a lot better than we expected. I doubt I could have done this well with plan A.”
Cam smiled and laid her hand on his arm. “You would have been great, Geraldo. It’s amazing what you can do when your life’s on the line.”
They both smiled and nodded.
