“Yes, I met the whole family,” Cam told Maggie. She and Tad had sneaked back into the embassy. Now she was sitting in John’s office and speaking on his secure phone. “It was scary for a while but I handled it. That’s a massive compound. There must be a dozen house staff and a dozen and a half body guards, or whatever they are.”
“I’ve heard that some of those companies, I guess you’d call them, are quite enormous.”
“I was amazed. The house is beautiful. It looks like it’s two stories from the front, but the land slopes down in back, so there’s an even lower floor on the far side. There must be ten or twelve bedrooms and Carlos told me there were even barracks or dormitories further into the trees where the staff lives. There must be thirty people living there…and even more on
