Cam couldn’t take the chance that she’d lose contact with Carlos. She borrowed Tad’s car and drove herself across town. She parked the car in front of the coffee shop and went inside. There were no customers there, but the same bartender was sitting on a tall stool behind the bar. “Yah?” “I need to see Carlos again,” Cam told him, being careful not to lean up against the dirty counter.
