Jordan’s POV
Stupid b***h. I should have killed her when I had the f*****g chance! No one would have blamed me. Now, here I am, sitting in jail waiting for the one favor I had saved up and called in to show up and get me out of here. As luck would have it, the current District Attorney needed some s**t from his past to disappear when he was trying to get his position and turned to my cousin. My cousin Allen is a f*****g computer genius and hacked into the Federal database to make Tony Richards s*x trafficking conviction disappear.
“You damn well know I don’t like to be dragged out of bed and down to this hell hole at this time of night. You could have released him on my word! i***t!” Tony’s booming voice carried down the hallway of the holding cells.
“Sir, with the charges facing this man, we thought it best to have you personally sign him out. The scraggly looking guard told him.
“I know what charges he is being held on and I’ve heard the whole story. I will NOT be pursuing those charges, or any, for that matter. It was a domestic dispute. They are apart now and going separate ways, so there is no danger of any harm. The judge will deny the Order of Protection in the morning and we will all move forward with our lives. Now, open this damn door!”
CLICK Ahh the sweet sound of freedom. “Mr. Kinser, you are free to go. The Order of Protection hearing will be in the morning at 9AM sharp! Don’t be late! Come, I will walk you out.” We walked together talking about the weather and any other small talk that would seem normal to any one who happened to overhear us.
Once we were outside and in his car, as he drove me to get my car and my belongings out of Noelle’s house, he spoke up “Jordan, we got lucky this time. However, I don’t know your plan for custody or anything, but I want you to understand I have no say in that courtroom at all. She has enough evidence to take them from you and strip you of your rights to them completely. Honestly, we had enough evidence to convict attempted murder.” He shook his head.
“I know man and I’m thankful you helped me, and don’t worry, I’ll give you a bigger case to convict me on, I promise.” I told him, knowing my plan was to kill the b***h.
“Jordan, is there any way I can convince you to stay away from her and just move on like it never happened?” he pleaded with me.
“No, she will suffer. No b***h has Jordan Kinser locked up and lives to tell the tale, bet that!”
We pulled up and there was a cop waiting there for me. “What the f**k Tony?”
“He’s just here to stay with you while you get your things.”
“I don’t need a f*****g baby sitter!”
“It’s just to keep the peace.” He told me as he pointed to the porch. Jacob and his crew were sitting there strolling in and out of the house like they owned it.
“That’s it..” I swung open the passenger door, “get out of here Tony.” I told him, slamming his door shut and hearing him leave quickly.
“What the f**k are you doing here Jacob? Taking my leftovers wasn’t enough for you?”
“Man, you know I love a good leftover. Once I got past the first inch, it felt unused. Says a whole lot about your manhood. Just get your s**t and get out.” I glared at him but, I knew with a cop here I couldn’t risk going back to jail. I began to walk past him when he grabbed my shirt collar, “Just to clarify things, because that tiny brain of yours, Noelle, is MINE now. If you come close to her, me and my boys are going to have a lot of fun getting rid of you.” He released me and I turned to the cop who was conveniently looking away. Definitely on their payroll. I went inside and the officer followed me along with Jacob. I walked from room to room taking what belonged to me, which all fit in two trash bags, grabbed my keys and started towards the door.
“Stop!” I turned to see Jacob with his hand out. “House key.” I laughed in disgust and handed over the key. There were multiple ways to get into this house, so a key wasn’t necessary. I walked to my 1986 Ford Mustang and got in. I then realized I still had the key to the F150. I debated for a moment or two but decided that if I wanted to seem unbothered so I wouldn’t be suspected of killing her, it would be best to return the key. I opened the door and walked to Jacob, handing him the key.
“This is the key to the truck. It’s Noelle’s not mine. When she bought it she put it in her name so I couldn’t take it.”
“Cool. Move on, man. Don’t do anything stupid. For your sake.” If only he knew…
