Stephen’s POV
Max's eyes widened in disbelief as I listened to Eric's story. "Your father's doing the charity event?!" She exclaimed. "You can't let him do this. You were practically your mother's right hand when it came to organizing the annual charity event..."
Eric's expression fell, and I could hear the pain in his voice as he spoke. "I don't even know what happened," he admitted. "When we were talking, he said that I should keep it big like it always was. But when I explained that I couldn't handle something that large while still studying, he just kicked me out of it."
We were both taken aback by what Eric was saying, but I could tell that he was particularly shocked by his father's behavior. "He even gave me this list of organizations to choose from, but they're all major ones."
