Chapter 6 The morning after the store trip, Alex had to drag himself out of bed at dawn to use the bathroom. His eyelids were heavy and he nearly fell on his face because he didn’t wear his lenses nor his glasses, and he hadn’t seen the pair of shoes in the hallway. He was so sleepy and so blind.
