Chapter 9
Daniel felt guilty for not having told Alex about Matt, but given his friend’s reaction maybe he wasn’t entirely wrong. The main thing to understand was the reason for that reaction. Was Alex intolerant toward gay people? Maybe he decided to ignore the gay-thing with Daniel only because of their friendship. Or was there something else?
Daniel was still deep in thought when he got back home late after work, and met Kevin in the hallway on his way to the shower.
“Hey.” Kevin greeted him with a forced smile. “Is everything okay?”
“Why?” Daniel asked immediately, without returning the greeting.
“I’ve never seen such a tense expression on your face, and Alex is grumpy as he used to be,” Kevin muttered, shaking his head. “He’s been grumbling since he came home.”
