After that argument, things between Daniel and Alex were much better. Daniel felt like he was slowly becoming a part of the strange group of friends, and Alex seemed to be more sociable. Daniel hadn’t failed to notice during the first week Alex had avoided staying in the same room with him—alone—for too long, but things were improving and he couldn’t complain.
The four guys went on with their lives, as usual: work, pub, concerts, Gabriel with his sort of love blackouts here and there, Kevin focused on his guitar, Alex working at his store or hanging out with Kate, and Daniel trying to do his best at school.
They often had dinner together and sometimes they even spent the night together, watching TV or playing with the PlayStation.
