Alex stood in his room under the gaze of his two friends.
“I won’t come to the gig.”
“If I may say, you’re behaving like a jerk,” Gabriel answered.
“Said the man who thinks being an asshole is a lifestyle,” Alex replied grudgingly.
“I’m just saying you can’t hide forever. You have already spoken to him today. The worst is over, right?”
“No, the worst is not over. The worst will come when I will see him making out with Matt, and I can’t help but think how I was—”
“A jerk? See? In one way or another it doesn’t change.” Gabriel ran for the bathroom just as a shoe flew in his direction.
