As soon as Alex entered the house, he was welcomed by a chorus of happy birthdays and he chuckled, shaking his head, raising a hand to greet everyone while he was glancing around.
“I’m going to hit the shower and I’ll be back in a moment!” he shouted over the noise of the applause before disappearing into the bathroom.
He pulled off his clothes and went under the showerhead, thinking back to the people in the room. He hadn’t seen Matt anywhere, but Daniel was there. Who knows where he was hiding him…on the other hand, Kate was there, and even though Daniel was a constant thought, Alex wasn’t sorry at all to have someone to keep him distracted during the night. Alex and Kate hadn’t seen each other in a long time and now he was going to look for some forgiveness.
