Daniel, meanwhile, had left home and was heading to Matt’s place.
He had a bitter taste in his mouth and, despite the awareness something like this could happen, he was disappointed. He knew he was taking a risk having s*x—almost—with Alex, but for a moment he had hoped things could work between them. He had seen the look in Alex’s eyes, felt his pleasure and his desire, the way he was overwhelmed with need, and he had hoped.
Stupid idea.
But when Alex had freaked out because he didn’t want his friends to find them together, it was like a knife to Daniel’s heart. He had known there was a possibility…but he had hoped. Moreover, for making things even worst, he had betrayed Matt. He felt sick.
