“Get this b***h out of here!” Tessa’s screams fill the room. But I don’t wait to be dragged out. I leave of my own accord.
I head back to the security building. Now that Tessa’s back, perhaps they’ll let me see Aiden, if only briefly. But it’s the same story. I get to the office and Lafferty still won’t me see him.
“I’m sorry Willow. Mr. Cross is being held in solitary confinement. You can’t see him.”
“But I only want to make sure that he’s okay.” I bang the counter. “He’s my boyfriend. I only need a minute.”
“Sorry but no.”
“Why not?”
“Im working on orders here. You’re gonna have to respect the rules. Go back to your house and pray to the moon goddess that this case gets resolved tonight, else it’ll he transferred to the royal court tomorrow.”
