“It’s alright Violet,” I grab my best friend’s arm, trying to get her to calm down. Then I turn to Tessa. “Hi Tessa. How’s it going?”
“I should be asking you,” she singsongs. It’s hard to tell if she’s mocking me or being genuine. “I heard you were doped up on medication for over a month. It must have been quite the ordeal.” She looks behind us, noticing Vincent for the first time. She’s not the only one who’s noticed him. Jane and the other cronies are busy making googly eyes at him.
“Who’s that?” Tessa asks with no small amount of interest. What happened to her obsession with Theo? Or maybe she’s just interested because Vincent is with me. there are people like that, who do everything in their power to take people and relationships away from you. not for any particular reason.
