The days go by. I’m stuck at the manor, waited on, hand and foot. The one people I have to keep me company are my dad and aunt. They rotate it, takes turns keeping me company.
Cary brings me gifts and spends an annoying amount of time fussing over me. Helen walks me around the gardens, divulging more stories about her several adventures.
In between, I talk to Aiden on the phone. Violet as well. I’ve been brought up to speed about the affair of things at cheerleading.
After I got landed in the hospital, Tessa had managed to weasel her way into being instated as temporary captain.
“Nothing to worry about though,” she adds. “It’s just temporary. The girls want you back. They keep asking me for updates about you. Told them you’ll be returning to campus next week.”
