“What? Dad, what are you talking about?” For a moment there, I think i may have misheard my dad. There’s no way he just said what I think he said.
Aiden is silent. It means my dad has managed to take him by surprise as well.
“Isn’t it true?” Cary looks between us. “Am I wrong in saying that you used to date his brother, honey?”
“Y-You’re not,” I stutter, trying to keep my cool. “I just don’t know why you would bring it up right now.”
Wait, is this why he asked to meet Aiden? Exactly how long has he known that I used to date Theo? If he knows about my love life, does he also know that Aiden and I are fake dating?
I suddenly don’t feel like eating anything. I’ve lost my appetite. My dad must notice the distress on my face because he starts smiling.
“Relax you two,” he says.
