I wasn’t sure how I was supposed to be feeling. One thing I did know was that Grayson was keeping something from me. I wasn’t even sure how I knew, but I did. He was avoiding me and when his father suddenly disappeared and no one would give me a straight answer about it, I knew something else was going on. Of course, that meant my paranoia was going haywire. I glanced around the bedroom I had been sharing with Grayson and sighed. Something was wrong, I just knew it. I forced myself to leave the safety of the room and went in search of my mate. I found him in his office.
“Hey,” I said rather loudly to get his attention. Grayson reacted just as I had suspected he would.
“Oh…hey, you are up,” he pointed out futilely.
