Part 9 : Decisions and Sacrifices

It's already midnight, everyone are sound in deep sleep, but I wasn't, I tossed and turn in my bed, thinking of what to do? I know I should be going right now. Now is the right time to leave, no one will know that I am leaving.

But what if they look out for me?

What will Earl do? He'll freak out for sure, knowing his Alpha is went missing, I won't let that happen to him. I groaned in frustration.

Will Calix will look out for me?

"No, he wouldn't" I thought to myself.

"He will." Aleck said in my head

"How will I know?"

"Because I can feel Elly being anxious right now."

"You did? and who's Elly?" I asked confused dumbfounded.

"Yup! And he will stop you if you leave. Elly's Calix wolf"

"That answer my question earlier"

I stood up off my bed and get my bag with my stuff. I am leaving, I won't let him stop me.

I open my door carefully, not making any sounds, the door make creek sound and I hold my breath looking around, listening for any movement.

Nothing

I sigh in relief and start walking tip toe and when I reached the stair when someone whisper in my ear.

"You look like a thief trying to escape."

I was holding my breath, tilting my head on the side to meet Calix aqua blue eyes, drowning myself by just looking at his eyes. I was about to speak when I caught off balance, I rolling down the stairs, I saw Calix went shock but came running after me when he came back to reality.

I'm sure as hell that everyone on this house heard my fall. And why the hell this stairs to long? It feels like forever before I reached the ground.

Keeping my eyes shut and wait for my destiny and meet the ground floor when a spark of electricity flow all over my body, I feel safe and secured. That's when I opened my eyes, Calix is holding my hips, I am still in the middle of the long stairs, I tried to see how far I made. I was shock to see that I am just five steps away by meeting the tiled floor. I groaned and glares at Calix.

"Why you take too long before you catch me? I almost kiss that cold floor of yours!" I scold at him, he lift me so he was holding on me bridal style. He smirked.

"I'd rather want you kissed me than the cold floor." I huffed, crossing my arms in my chest.

"Still I almost kiss the floor." He rolled his eyes and started to walk inside the kitchen,me still in his arms.

"Why are you still awake in the middle of the night?" I asked him as he place me on of the stool.

"My wolf never stop pacing in my head, it frustrate me. Now I know why." He glared at me. I give him my ever so effective innocent puppy eye look and smile.

His jaw drop and his eyes bore in mine.

"Your mouth, there's a bug lurking around." I walk around him and I place my hand in his chin, closing his mouth.

"I should get to used by the sparks I always feel whenever I touch you, or rather I should not touch you again." I nodded at my own statement then walk back to my seat but he snake his arms around my waist.

"I love touching you, I love being near you." He said staring at me with full of emotions. I choked, blushed. Then I saw his eyes turns black, not in angry but in lust. I straggle in his holds but he tighten his grip in my waist, for sure it will left a bruises but I didn't complain. Our head snap at the entrance of the kitchen when someone yawned loudly. We saw Charisha holding her teddy bear. I once again tried to stay away at Calix but he didn't let me. I shrugged my shoulder.

"I have to check on your sister." I whisper at him, I place my hand in his chest. Finally, he let me go. I walked towards Charisha.

"Hey princess, why you're still awake?" I asked softly and carry her in my arms.

"I heard a loud thud earlier then someone is continously howling in my room, I can't go back to sleep. Can you sleep with me?" She asked sleepily. I look at Calix whose just staring at me. I was about to say something when Athena show herself.

"Baby, what are you doing here? I'll check on you in your room but you're not there, is there something wrong?" She said worried.

I cringe my nose and sniff the air. I look at her, checking. The scent is coming from her. Where did she came from? The question formed in my head.

"Thirsty." Is all he said, he walk towards Charisha and I to get the already sleeping Charisha in my arms. "I'll bring her back to her room, you two can have yourselves back to bed as well." He said more on like a command. I smirked.

When Calix is out of sight, Athena get herself a drink.

"Want some?" She offered politely. I shook my head, staring at her.

"Where did you go?" I asked, I saw her tensed.

"What do you mean?" She asked, innocently.

"You show yourself here telling you came to look for Calix but your scent tells the other way, maybe it's a coincidence that Calix is here with me, I can't picture the scent you're with and that's definitely not Calix scent but more on a fresh rain forest lingering on you. Where did you go?" I asked in my alpha tone.

Her eyes went tensed, lookingbaround the area and stutter. "I-- ahm -- I went for a run! Yes, for a run!" She exclaim exaggerated, I gave her a look that says 'Don't f*****g play games with me' look. I saw her throat bob up and down.

I was about to confront her when my phone start ringing. I check the callers ID. Rob, I raised my eyebrow, I saw Athena on the side of my eyes, uncomfortable. I answer the call on it's fifth rung.

"Rob, what is it?"

"Alpha, Alpha Sam and Luna Alicia are missing." He said in a panicked tone.

"I know, Charles told me, My guess is they just went for sometime alone." I stated, he was silent for a second before saying.

"Elder Dina found unconscious in her house just now, Alpha. We take her in our pack hospital." He said in hard tone.

"WHAT! Dina is--! Damnit! Who did it?!" I yelled over the phone

"It was rogues scent, Alpha. Elder Dina seems to be fighting but she surely can't beat three rogues." I can picture his hard face. "I'm sorry, Alpha."

"I'm coming. Is there something they left a clue?" I ask in a low but deadly tone.

"They left a note." He said.

"What is it? What's written on it?"

"They have Alpha Sam amd Luna Alicia and --" he cut his word mid-sentence.

"Spill it out Rob!" I demand, I didn't care if everyone in this house will wake up.

"It's a picture of a baby, more like ultrasound of a baby, Luna Alicia is pregnant." I hold my breath longer than I can and he continue. "They say they will soon be gone."

I smashed the kitchen table and it break in two. Alicia is no longer around.

"Take care of my grandmother! I'll be there in a minute! I'm coming!" I said in a loud voice and cut the call without waiting for his response.

"Earl!" I shouted, my voice boomed all over the house but I didn't. It's 2 in the morning, everyone is sleeping but I don't care.

I am angry not just angry but furious. I saw my bag still on the end of the stair, I grab it and latch in my shoulder when Calix came running towards me, Earl in tow.

"What happened?" He asked in a worried tone, he became silent for a second. I know why, he saw my eyes, my eyes that are now in pitch black.

"I need to go back to my pack. Sam and Alicia is missing. Dina found unconscious in her house. I need to come back!" I said in a yell,

"I'm going now. You can follow me after you pack, leave your mate here" I said in my alpha voice, his face fall in my last word. "She's safe here."

"I'm coming!" Rose voice boomed

"No." I said in disapproving tone. "You are safe beside your mate. And you belong here since the day you found your mate here."

"So are you." Calix firmly said, A few gasps can be heard. I close my eyes tight and turn my back to them.

"I am not." I took a step forward but stopped by Calix by grabbing my shoulder.

"You're not leaving!" He shouted in my face.

"I didn't asked for permission, and my family is in danger, you can't stop me, Calix." I kneel his thing making him fall on the ground, clutching his thing, groaning.

I turn to see Earl. "Follow me as soon as you can." I took a step almost running to the door to my car not taking pauses. I hop in and drove away.

I step on the gas, running in almost 220-240 speed.
