Part 10 : Cailly's Wrath

~Unknown POV

"Father, Calix found his mate, what should I do? The spell is breaking I put him into. It will vanished if they completed the mating process. I won't let that happen! Calix is mine!" Athena yelled

"That won't happen, darling. I already made a plan and I know Cailly will be gone in your way, once she know whay happened in her pack, she'll leave in second and no one can't stop her not even her mate. I promise." I said pulling her in a hug. She nodded her head.

"Now, go back to the pack house, we'll see each other soon and we can have the most strongest pack in our hands and we can be the most unbeatable one." I told her. We bid our goodbye and she left.

I make my way back to my car parked outside the perimeter of this pack and trying not to be caught any of the patrol guards. Masking my scent is such a helpful.

Almost 30 minutes of walking when I reached my car and my phone started ringing. I pick it up not looking at the caller.

"Dad, Cailly just left the house and you're right, Calix didn't have the chance to stop her. But he just announced that she was his mate." She said in pain.

"Just stay there, I'll handle Cailly." That's all I said before I hung up. I hop in my car and called for the rogues I am working with.

~Cailly's POV

Hitting the road with 260 k/ph is not so new to me and I don't care anymore, I need to come and save my family.

Gripping the stirring wheel hard showing my knuckles turning white I have to be hurry.

A loud growl reached in my ears. Taking a glance in my side mirror just to see a group of rogues running after me in their wold form.

"What the hell is wrong with this rogues always after me when I'm driving?!" I spat irritated. I step on the gas, reaching the highest speed. I won't be shock if this car of mine will set into fire because this speeding I make. I take glance to my rearview mirror to see a midnight black wolf, he's fighting with the rogues running after me awhile ago.

I step on the break, making a screeching sound of my tires. I stopped in a halt and get out of my car. The rogues are now out of sight probably all dead. The midnight black wolf come running towards me, I prepare myself in his attack but instead he stop in front of me. I stare at him, studying him. His mouth dripping with blood, not his blood but from the rogue. Then I turn to see his eyes, does mesmerizing Aqua blue eyes.

"Calix" I called to him, caressing his fur, he leaned closer to my hand. "Shift, Calix." I asked him softly. He took a step backward and shift in his human form.

He's wearing his pajama. A smile c***k in my face. He tilted his head on the side.

"What's funny?" He pouted. I let out a soft laugh.

"You look so cute when you pout. And you didn't bother to change in a proper clothes, pajamas'?" I let out a chuckle. I felt my cheek burn.

"I can stay here just listening in your laugh do you know that?" He said in amusement.

I blushed even more. "I- uhm" clearing my throat. "I think this is not the time for that. Get inside the car, I guess you want to come that's why you're here, right?" I joked. He rolled his eyes. "Can I come with you?" I rolled my eyes at him.

"Can I say No?"

"Nope" He grinned.

"Get in." But before he get in the passenger seat I peck a kiss in his cheek, he was stunned for a moment.

"That's for saving me with the rogues earlier." I spill, blushing. His eyes lit up from his smile.

"If that's always your way of saying 'Thank you' to me, I will be glad on saving and protecting you always." He grinned. "But it's my job protecting you, mate." He grab my waist, pulling me closer to him and buried his nose to the crook of my neck. I gasps for a moment before he let me go. "Come on, we still need to save your brother and my future brother in law." He stated.

"What?" I asked, confused.

"Enough with the talking. Get in the driver's seat or I'll drive for us." He warned. I scurried inside the driver seat and took off.

"We're going to talk later." I said not leaving a room for argument, he nods. "I'll be glad."

"Seatbelt please." I said, he knotted his forehead, I just shrugged my shoulders at him and step in the gas making our speed in 220 k/ph.

"Holy crap!" He exclaimed, I laugh at him. "I don't want to die yet, Ai! Not in a cliché death like car crash! Slow down!" He screamed. I nodded my head and slowing in 140 k/ph but in a matter of minute, I hit the road in 240 k/ph. Calix hand either in the door handle or in the hood of my car.

When we reached our teritory, I slowdown my pace until we stop in a halt when we are in front of the pack house. He let out a shaky breath in relief. I gave him a innocent look when he glares at me.

I saw Charles emerging from the house, I'm out of my car in record time and meet him halfway.

"Charles, where's Rob?" I ask, my voice is firm.

His adam's apple bob up and down, and his eyes in panicked, grabbing his shoulder firmed and slightly shake him. His gaze stop in mine.

"Alpha! Rob is-- Rob is dead."

"WHAT!" I yell at him. It's almost 4 in the morning when we reached my pack. Calix is on my side.

Charles saw him and lower his head before focusing to me.

"I came here when Rob called me about your arrival and said he'll be at Elder Dina's side and ask me to stay here to wait for you, but when I came here. I saw his body in the backyard, dead." He said in low voice, regret. I patted his shoulder when he let out a sob, I pulled him in a sister/brother hug. "I'm sorry, Alpha."

A low growl emit in the air. I turn to see Calix sending daggers on Charles. I smirked.

"Down, boy. This is my third in command." His growl never stop until I pulled away with Charles.

"It's okay, Charles. It's not your fault." I cooed him. He nodded his head and lead us inside the pack house.

Calix snake his arms around my waist, his face hardened, glaring at Charles back. I let out a sigh. I snake my arms around his head making his eyes look in mine. I tiptoe and kiss the tip of his nose.

"If you let jealousy drives you, you'll go insane. Everytime seeing you with Athena, killing me but I didn't do anything. But Charles here is just my third and you looks like you want to shred him apart." I joked but his eyes show regret and pain. "I'm sorry." He wrap is arms around me and hug me tight. "I didn't know what you feel when I'm with Athena, I didn't know I'm hurting you. I'm so sorry." His voice is full of emotions. I hugged him back.

"You didn't know I am your mate, it's okay." I said sincerely. He shook his head. "I shouldn't did what I just did. I should've know that you are my mate, I shouldn't have to hurt you but to protect you. But I am the reason why you're hurting. I'm really sorry." He bury his face on my neck. I ran my hand in his black, soft hair.

"I forgive you the moment you claimed me yours." I draw soothing circle in his back. He looks at me and to my lips. I bit my lip unconsciously. He lower his head to me but interrupted when Charles clear his throat. I blushed heavily and hid my face at Calix chest. He chuckle.

"Alpha, I am happy to see you happy. It's different the past few days we spend with you, you seem to be a happy person. But now, your happiness is a good different." He grinned but vanished in a second. "But sorry to ruin the perfect moment, Alpha." He extend his hand to give me a white envelop. I knotted my forehead and accept it.

Once I open the card I felt myself pale, My hands are shaking in angry. I knew my eyes turns black when Charles step back away from me.

It's a picture of my grandmother. Her fragile body is lying on the cold floor of the pack hospital, her blood scattered everywhere. I saw her eyes wide open but lifeless.

A let out a loud howl of agony and Calix spun me around to face him, he pulled me in a tight but calming hug. His saying calming words in my ears. I felt myself calming and relaxing. I let out a shaky breath and filled my nostrils in his scent. I hug him back.

"I'll kill whoever behind this shit." I spat, hatred in my voice.

"We'll kill them. Cailly, I will always by your side. We will save Sam and his mate." He said like a promise. I let myself drown to him. I nod my head at him and saying 'Thanks' I pull away in our calming hug and face Charles.

"I'm going to the pack hospital, stay here. Keep your guard up and contact me if anything happen." I said, command.

"Yes, Alpha." He lowered his head.

"Would you like to come or stay here? You have to rest, Lexy." Caressing his face. He looks at me sternly.

"I'm going with you." He stated, dismissively and pull me out of the house and walk outside. I let out a soft chuckle and his pace slowed down and face me. "You know, your laugh is addicting." He said making me blush. I smirked and walk pass him. He chuckle.

We reached the hospital in horrifiying scene. Dead bodies around the area . One is ours the other is a three rogues.

Midnight Howler pack is the strongest pack in the country and Second best in the world.

I felt myself raging in fury but Calix held my hand tight making me relax, I breath in and let out a deep sigh. I walked inside the establishment with Calix on my side. Since no wolf get sick, the hospital is clean but in the last room, I saw blood. I smelled it before I saw it.

Five rouges limp dead in the entrance. I rose my eyes inside. I saw the pack doctor and few nurses dead bodies. They must have tried to save my grandmother, more rogues inside. I can be proud that my people can fight even if they are outnumbered. Then there I saw, her body. She was old and fragile but still can kick ass.

I hold her in my arms and let out my tears I am holding. I will get revenge. I won't let anyone of them alive. I whisper to her. I know she can't hear me anymore but I'll do what I had said.

Calix didn't say anything or coming near me. I am thankful for that. He understand my situation. I closed my grandma's eyes and settle her on the floor.

"Can you place her on top of the bed?" I pleaded. He didn't say anything but do what I said. I gave him a weak smile. He pull me in a hug. I let myself drown to him.

"Charles, come here and bring five members. The hospital is full of wolves, dead body. Keep ours and burn the rogues. and set a burial for Dina and the others." I ordered.

"On my way, Alpha"

I cut the link and Calix lead us out. I found myself tired, seems like Calix noticed it and he carry me in his arms, burying my face in his neck and let the sleep took it's toll.
