The Alpha's Promise

Part 11 : Making her happy!

~ Calix POV

It's been three days when Cailly and I arrive at her pack and so many things had happen, I had the chance to see Cailly's most vulnerable state and I hate to see her in that state.

Since the day we slept together is the most peaceful sleep I had in my life, having her because me is like I am so much ready to face the world, but when I woke up, She's not there. I frowned. And I never had the chance to talk to her this past two days, she's always busy with her pack, She ran back and forth here and the former crescent pack, She ordered her pack members to stay for awhile there and some warriors, trackers and fighters are staying with her.

I was amazed on how she can handle that bunch of work. She can keep her pack members safe and sound while the search and tracking her brother and mate is in progress. And all in all, she's a young twenty years old female. Damn! I'm one such a lucky guy to have her as my mate.

I had the chance to talk to her for a couple of minute by telling her that I can provide some of my fighters and she thank me then she's back in her work.

I sigh in frustration, I can feel the stress in her thru our bond and I used to give her calming thoughts. We still sleep together every night but wake up alone.

I lay back to our bed, facing the ceiling of her room. Her room is mixture shades of white and gray and some of her furniture, desk, tables are in black and gray. I cringe my nose. "Not so girly, a picture of a strong powerful woman. Our mate" My wolf speak to my head. I agree.

She's in her office now doing her job, I should do my job as an Alpha in my pack but I know Dad will understand and so Xander, my beta is there and keeping me update every hour. Athena is gone. She left. That's all Xander told me. She left because she understand that I found my mate. I should've thank her, maybe next time around if we met again.

I got up to bed and stalk downstair to her office. Hearing her voice making me calm and relax.

"We caught rogue scent in south boarder and up to north, Alpha." I recognize the voice from her beta, Earl.

"How's the tracking?" Her voice, her sweet voice but full of authority, any normal wolf will got intimidated by her but she never want other, especially her pack want's to be scared of her. She keep her humble and joyful personality even if she was in greatest pain.

"Rick says it's progressing, his group track some activities of the rogues and they say that they will get an evidence before they come to face you and give you complete details." Earl said.

"How about our members? How they doing?" She ask

"Normal, I asked Richard to keep the training for the teenagers and others keep doing their appointed task." This time it's Charles, her third.

I am so proud of my mate. I was about to walked ahead and leave them in their meeting when Cailly speak up.

"You know you can get inside if you want too."

I turn on my back to see her standing in her now open door, smiling at me. "This girl will be my fall" I muttered to myself.

"I don't want to interrupt you to your meeting." I told her whilst walking towards her, smiling.

"We're done." She said then facing her beta and third. "You two can leave, have some rest for the day." She announced.

"Yes, Alpha" They said im unison.

"You should have a break too. You stink." Earl joked. Cailly's gave her the look but not to long when she started to laugh. "So are you, for sure your mate will reject you in your mess face and hair." Earl pouted making her laugh more.

"She won't do that!" Earl protest.

"I'll tell her." Cailly tapping her chin. Earl eyes widen in horror.

"Please Alpha don't!" He begged. I raised my brow, Charles seemed to see my confused look.

"Our Alpha here do whatever she said, either it's a joke or not. The last time she joke when Alpha Sam went to call her and tell her about his mate, she said she'll give the idea of rejecting him and Alpha Sam freaked out." They were quiet a while like reminiscing a memory and they burst into laughter. I can't help not to join in their laughter.

I swear I am starting to love this pack, It feels like more on a family than a pack. I am used to my pack, very strict, members respect us so much but here, even the normal wolves can joke around with their highest rank wolf members especially their Alpha.

When the laugh die down, Earl and Charles take their leave. Cailly walk around her desk and starting to work again. She grab a folder and place it in front of her. When she was about to open it, I stop her by blocking my hands to her folder, She raised her eyes to me. Those mesmerizing emerald eyes of her making me want to take her right now until she screams my name in pleasure. I shook my head in that thought.

"What do you think you're doing?" Raising her brow, she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Forbidding you to work? You heard your beta and third. And I heard them clearly." I spat at her, playfully.

"What did they say? I forgot." She said giving her so cute innocent look. I sigh deeply.

"You have to get a break, let's go for a run, my wolf is itching to come out, aren't yours?"

"Nah. This horny dog in my head only wants to have you." She stated casually but seems yo realize what she just said, her cheeks turns bright red. I tried not to laugh but I gave her my wider grinned.

"Really?" I teased.

"No!" She shouts. "What the--" I cut her by placing my pointer finger in her lips.

"It is not so nice to hear you curse, your angelic face shouts innocence."

She rolled her eyes, she's so cute whenever she do it.

"This angelic face can surely beat you, I had prove it before." She grinned, I pouted.

"You caught me off guard!" I whined, she chuckle. "Duh!"

She stood up in her desk and walk around to me, she hold my hand and walk outside her office, out to her house.

"First to reach my other pack wins, losers will have their punishments." She announced and took off, running towards the wood and jump in one swift, shifting in her gorgeously white silvery gray wolf. I was stunned for awhile and shouts.

"Cheater!"

I heard her wolf barked in happiness. I took off running, shifting in my midnight black wolf.

Surely she's faster than a normal wolf. I fasten my pace to catch up on her, I saw her standing in the middle of the woods, her head roaming around the area. I stood up beside her and heighten my senses.

When I turn to look at her, her eyes bore to me, I can see her smile in her eyes. She nuzzle her strout to my fur and I do the same to her. Licking her face, she cringe. She shifted in her human form but I stayed in my wolf.

"Ew! Lexy!" She pouted. I shifted in my human form and started to laugh.

"Come on, remember the first who reach your pack is the winner." I said that when I started running.

"You're unfair!" I heard her yell at my back. She shifted in her wolf form, barking at me. I reached the boarder of her new pack.

I shifted in my human form with a wide grin in my face, I saw her stomping her feet, pouting. I chuckle.

Who will believe that this sweet little girl can kick ten wolves asses? She's so beautiful, gorgeous, perfect. I thought to my self.

"Thank you." She said, I c****d my brow at her.

"Did I said it out loud, didn't I?" She didn't answered but she laugh.

We spent the whole day with her pack members. She also announce that the ceremony of acceptance will be held when her brother and mates came back. She never bother to tell them the problem she's facing. Instead, her face plastered with smile, a genuien smile.

Such a strong woman.
