*Lupo* I stride into my bedchamber, slamming the door behind me, and begin to pace. I told her the truth: she is an orphan. Her mother passed away ten years ago, followed by her father two years later. She does have a family, her brother for one, but I didn't want her to search for them, not that she would have known where to start. However, she might have asked me again for her employment papers. It's just easier to leave out that little detail. It doesn't sit well with me, but this whole affair is starting to weigh on my conscience.
