Chapter Eleven The nightmare I was disoriented and lost. Idris was holding me while I tried to breathe. Avianna couldn’t believe it herself; she was using her internal voice to communicate with me. This wasn’t happening for real, or maybe I was still dreaming. The image of a soaked Nicolas flashed through my mind. We should have stayed away from her so this wouldn’t have happened. I could smell Idris’s scent on me. He was touching me, and he had this strange way of destressing me. “What are you even talking about?” I asked. “She couldn’t have been taken by the Dark Ones.
