Players collided against the boards with enough force to make the glass shake. Skates sliced across the ice while the puck moved so quickly that half the crowd lost track of it.
The Bears came out aggressive.
Within the first few minutes, they broke through the Hunters' defense.
A pass. A shot. A goal.
The red light flashed.
The Bears' section erupted.
Students jumped to their feet screaming while the Hunters' supporters groaned collectively.
One-nil.
The Hunters were behind.
The coach immediately started barking instructions from the sidelines.
I noticed Knox remove his mouthguard long enough to shout something at his teammates. Even from the stands, I could tell he wasn't pleased.
Not even slightly.
The game resumed.
This time, the Hunters struck back.
