"I am out of here," I muttered as I turned toward the door.
I barely made it two steps before Knox grabbed my hand and pulled me back.
"Wren, I know you're a little freaked out—"
"A little bit?" I snapped, yanking my hand free. "A little bit? What the hell was that, Knox?"
He opened his mouth, but I didn't let him speak.
"I knew you had a bad reputation, but this?" I pointed toward the door Axel had just stormed through. "You practically attacked him!"
Knox's jaw tightened.
"And then you threatened him with the evidence I gave you?" I continued, my voice rising with every word. "After everything that's happened? After all the things I did because you asked me to? This is what you're doing?"
