The CEO sure took his sweet time before answering.
With that little time, I tried to make myself looks as presentable as possible.
"Come in" his deep voice finally sounded.
I pushed the door open gently and walked in confidently.
"Good morning, sir ."
"I was told you are just arriving at work. This is twenty minutes after eight miss Kaia. This is bad considering it is your first day at work." he said not bothering to acknowledge my greetings.
So much for my good first impression..
"I'm very sorry sir.. But I encountered a bit of problems this morning..."
"I don't want to hear your excuses!"
"I'm very sorry sir.." I said lowering my head.
I should have known better than trying to make excuses for myself. If I could turn the hands of the clock, I would have apologized
