I woke you with a banging headache and the blaring sound of my phone ringing. I have been turning my phone off but it kept ringing.
Grumbling, I sat up right and picked up while massaging his forehead gently.
"Yes.. why are you calling?" I asked.
"Sir.. there's a problem..." my assistant said over the phone, his voice lacing with so much worry.
"What is it?"
"Sir... the event venue suddenly caught fire and everyone is in chaos.." He reported.
My eyes snapped open as all the drowsiness I felt suddenly vanished.
"What? How can that happen? Did you check the wires properly?"
"Yes sir... and everything was intact."
"And what about the people? Our staff and other guests.."
"We were able to rescue some. Some sustained injuries but no deaths were recorded" M
