What makes a wood magical and appropriate for use when crafting magic wands? In one sense, the answer is seemingly trivial. A wood is magical if it has been harvested from a magical tree in a careful and respectful manner that does not destroy its inherent magic. But this still begs the question: what makes a tree magical? The answer is that all trees are inherently magical because life itself is magical. All living things including trees have a spark of Quintessence and are thus magical. However, that does not mean that every type of tree is sufficiently magical to be worth using to craft magic wands.
