Fire is one of the four primary elementals of classical philosophy and alchemy. The elemental Fire is dominant in and thus strongly associated with: - Fires and plasmas (e.g., lightning) - Heat and things that are hot - Things that are red, orange, and yellow - Fire mystical creatures (e.g., dragons and phoenixes) - Things that glow such candles, oil lamps, and lightning bugs The Alchemical Symbol for the Elemental Fire Fire wands are made from materials associated with the elemental Fire, especially magical creatures and woods. Fire wands are particularly good at strengthening and focusing Fire spells. Some of the most common Fire spells include spells intended to: - Create, control, and extinguish fire, smoke, and heat - Make people, animals, plants, and objects impervious to fire or heat - Control volcanoes including the creation, control, and destruction of lava - Increase temperatures and return them back to normal - Create, control, and extinguish light - Create, control, and destroy electrical, magnetic, and chemical energies - Create explosions and fireworks - Burn things including people and animals - Create, control, and extinguish burning pain - Control lightning - Transform one form of energy into another - Stop bleeding The following incantations with their translations and desired results are a few of the most useful magic spells that are especially strengthened and focused by wand components having the elemental Fire: Aufero fumus (make smoke disappear) causes any smoke that is the subject of the spell to instantly dissipate. Causare combusto (cause burn) burns the subject(s) of the spell with magical flames. Causare dolor ardens (cause burning pain) causes the subject(s) of the spell to experience intense burning pain. Causare volcanus eruptio (cause eruption) causes the volcano that is the subject of the spell to erupt (This spell requires an extreme amount of Quintessence.). Creare ardens flores (create fireworks) causes fireworks of the desired color to shoot from the end of the wand. Creare calidum aerem (create hot air) causes hot air to stream out of the end of the wand. Creare fulgur (create lightning) causes bolts of lightning to shoot from the end of the wand to the subject of the spell. Creare fumus (create smoke) creates a thick stream of smoke to be emitted from the end of the wand. Creare ignis (create fire) causes flames to be emitted from the end of the wand. Creare magnes (create magnetism) causes the subject of the spell to become magnetic. Creare saxa liquefacta (create lava) causes the rock or cliff that is the subject of the spell to turn into lava. Creare scintilla (create electricity) causes an electric current to flow from the end of the wand. Creare volcano (create volcano) creates a volcano at the location pointed to by the wand. (This spell requires an extremely large amount of Quintessence.) Crescere temperies (increase temperature) increases the subject's temperature. Displodo (cause explosion) causes the inanimate subject of the spell to explode. Exstinguendum ignem (extinguish fire) extinguishes a fire. Harefacio (dry up) causes the subject of the spell to become dry. Inferioris febris (lower fever) lowers or eliminates the fever of the subject of the spell. Minui temperies (decrease temperature) decreases the temperature of the subject of the spell. Obturatio cruentaque (stop bleeding) stops a wound from bleeding. Protegere ab dolor ustionis (protect from the pain of burning) protects the subject of the spell from feeling the pain caused by a burn. Protegere ab fulgur (protect from lightning) protects the subject of the spell from lightning. Protegere ab combustion (protect from burning) protects the subject of the spell from burning. Solidatur saxa liquefacta (solidify lava) causes lava to rapidly cool and solidify.
