Long before there were people, there was magic. It resided in the trees and rocks. It also resided in the magical beasts and beings from Faerie who occasionally entered our world through natural portals between them. Eventually, our earliest ancestors discovered the existence of this magic and how to control it. With that momentous moment, the first witches and wizards appeared.
