History Repeats

The history books always taught us a lesson, to not repeat history, to change it. To be different from our predecessors. But our predecessors knew more than we do, for our predecessors experienced war daily. We haven't experienced true war in America for over 30 years, we have no experience, for we've never experienced it. In my 18 years of living, war has been lingering, watching from the shadows, yet never coming out. Ukraine was taken over, and Russia had won the 23 years of fighting, drawing nearer to NATO. Putin had died during the war, leaving Ilya Wallace to rule. China, during those years, had started conflict with Taiwan in 2034 against NATO's wishes. Israel had won the Hamas conflict, genocidal killing innocent Palestinians for 13 years. After discovering the atrocities committed by Israel, Israel was thrown out of NATO, and Palestine was invited in. UECO, or the United Eastern Countries Organization, took over most of the remaining eastern countries staying out of NATO, like Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Russia, China, North Korea, a ton of dictatorial African countries, and plenty others. We knew the ticking time bomb would go off one day, but we didn't know it was going to be so soon. China took over Taiwan in 2046, a year before the third world war. Moscow, the capital of Russia and UECO, decided to send in soldiers to occupy Sweden, Norway, and Finland countries in NATO. September 2, 2047, World War 3 was started after a missile from Moscow was sent to Berlin, destroying and leveling the city. Immediately, NATO retaliated, sending their entire military to attack. America and Europe sent the navy to blockade UECO's navy and ports, destroying primary targets and causing mass destruction within a 10-day period. But UECO did not just stand still within this time, they were planning, scheming, and while most countries were out attacking the UECO countries, UECO went out and attacked the now almost defenseless major NATO countries, destroying bases and cites Death and destruction happened for multiple years, bouncing back and forth from one country to another. But on August 7, 2056, 03:29:06, the first intercontinental hypersonic ballistic nuclear missile was launched from Russia, hitting America. The MAD system, or Mutually Assured Destruction, was launched, completely overwhelming Russia, destroying major cities. But before the MAD system, before even the first nuclear strike, I, Coral Stewart, was allowed to be one of the 3 million of the 9.8 billion to be a “Star.” We were given a patch, called a star patch, allowing major important people, like government officials, major engineers, scientists, businessmen, even important farmers, to go to a secret bunker in Antarctica, And that's where we would remain for 4 years, slowly living out our time in a bunker.
