As the day ended, she made her way towards the park in search of Cainan, just like she had done since they started dating. She knew he would be pleased to find out she had quit her job, he would be ecstatic, as though he was the very cause of it.
Jasmin got to the park, but his car was nowhere to be found. It was weird and so unlike him to be late and she brought her phone out and saw if there was any message from him that pointed to him being absent, but there was no message from him either.
She turned her phone off and slipped it into her small purse, and walked off. She should have accepted his offer for a driver when he made it over a month ago, at least that way situations like these would never happen.
