Chapter Eight Jacob actually looked nervous. It was a strange sight for Stacey. She was watching him struggle with his tie. Allison was already at the hall, getting ready in one of the rooms there for the wedding. Yet in all of the insanity, she had somehow forgotten her shoes. Stacey had gone to fetch them. She hadn’t been expecting to see Jacob here. Not only that, but he was alone. Stacey had been expecting a group of people to be floating around him, helping him. But he was struggling with his tie on his own in the middle of the foyer. Stacey cleared her throat.
