I leaned against my oak table, wondering what this woman was talking about. I knew better than to trust her, but Steel tooth looked like she knew what she was talking about.
“What do you mean by war?” I asked.
She shrugged, swirling the brown liquid in her glass, while wearing a smug smile that irritated me. “Well, I have ears everywhere, as you very well know. A little birdie told me that you and your people were responsible for killing an underworlder. Not just as any underworlder, but f*****g Momo. I for one, never liked that guy, but a lot of people worship him, and they will be coming for you and your people.”
She took a swig of her drink. “Trust me when I say that they will not stop until they get their revenge.”
