I stared around and patted myself on the shoulder for a job well done. Everything looked perfect, the small decoration by the lake, a picnic table decorated at the edge with flower garlands, the cake, the music, everything was perfect. All that was remaining was the birthday girl.
Yesterday, after Nicole’s wolf had reached out to mine, everything changed for me. I was certain, now more than ever, that Nicole was mine, and I was hers. Our souls were dated by the goddess herself and I would be foolish to let her go without a fight.
