Nathan’s POV
I stared out the window of my office, which overlooked the entrance gate of my house, while I fiddled with the pen in my hand absentmindedly. My mother and Alexandra sat at my table, talking. Or should I say making preparations for the mating ceremony, which is set in a week.
With my child on the way and Nicole not wanting anything to do with me, I had no choice than to accept Alexandra as my mate and future queen. I had hoped that accepting Alexandra would make it easy to forget Nicole. But it only just made it worse. All I could think about was her, her beautiful face. The way she tasted. The way her body molded perfectly to mine and the look of betrayal on her face the last time I saw her.
