Ruby giggled. Without turning around, she waved at Fina and Pixley.
Fina knelt down and squeezed her head below Ruby’s so she could see, too.
Celestia was standing with her hands behind her back and a long thread hanging out of her mouth. She paced back and forth.
She mumbled between her teeth, “Who’s next?”
Bruno and Marjorie stepped forward, knocking into one another. Bruno said, “Ladies first.”
Marjorie glared at him but took him up on his offer. Penelope gasped. So did Gerald. Harlan tittered. Cecily’s eyes crinkled from the wide smile on her mouth. Clive slapped his knees with delight.
Cecily reached into her handbag and removed a tin of silk dental floss. She unfurled a generous length of it and placed it between Marjorie’s teeth.
