265 Words
Gathering Evidence Jessica's heart was racing as she snuck into James' office. She had been planning this for weeks, ever since she and Max had started making plans to take James down. She knew that James kept all of his important documents and files in his office, and she was determined to find something that would incriminate him. As she began to search through the files, Jessica's hands were shaking with nervousness. She knew that if James caught her, she would be in serious trouble. But she didn't let fear stop her. She kept searching, her eyes scanning the pages for anything that might be useful. And then, just as she was about to give up, she found it. A document that outlined James' involvement in a major money-laundering scheme. Jessica's heart skipped a beat as she realized the significance of what she had found. This was it, the evidence they needed to take James down. She quickly copied the document and hid it in her purse, her mind racing with thoughts of what to do next. As she left the office, Jessica felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. She had taken a huge risk, but it had paid off. And now, with the evidence in hand, she and Max could finally start building their case against James. But as she walked out of the office building, Jessica couldn't shake the feeling that she was being watched. She looked around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary. Still, the feeling persisted. And Jessica couldn't help but wonder if James had already discovered her secret.
