The next morning, a loud noise abruptly woke me. It was gunfire.
Jason asked me to stay in the room and went outside to check.
I was panicking, but he returned rather quickly.
"What was that?" I asked.
"Nothing serious. Don’t worry. Did you sleep well?" he asked.
I shook my head. He approached and kissed me. I then went to the bathroom to wash my face.
When I came out, he wasn’t in the room anymore. So I started inspecting the room, looking through every object, hoping to find some clue about where I was — but nothing gave me any answers. I went back to sit on the bed.
"Is this my life now? Being locked up all day in an unknown place?" I spoke to myself desperately.
I stepped out onto the balcony. There were fewer people outside this morning. I saw armed men and a woman in the other building. There was only one entrance — a large gate guarded by two heavily armed men.
It would be hard to escape from here, I thought.
Jason came up behind me.
"Do you like it here?" he asked.
"I was much better in my village," I replied.
"What? In that rat hole?"
"Yes — at least there was love and peace, no violence, only happiness — and above all, I was happy."
"You’ll be happy here too, you’ll see. In time, you’ll like it."
"I hope I die before that time comes," I said, turning back into the room.
"You’ll love me," he said, smiling as he approached me.
"I hate you with all my heart — and I will hate you forever."
"You know, the most beautiful love stories often start with hate," he said, still smiling, which made me even angrier.
I went back onto the balcony. He followed me again, wrapping his arms around me, leaving me no way to escape.
"Let me go," I said.
"Hey, Commando!" he shouted to a man who had just arrived.
"Hey, Terror!" the man replied.
"I prefer the nickname Bobby — you know that better than anyone, so stop with your damn Terrors," Jason scolded him.
"Okay boss," the man replied. "Your wife is beautiful."
"Let’s go inside," Jason said, pulling me by the arm.
"Let me go! Why are you dragging me like this?"
"Nothing, we’re just going to have breakfast — it should be ready."
"You don’t have to manhandle me for that," I replied.
"I’m sorry!"
Strangely, he knew how to apologize, and I oddly appreciated that.
We went to the dining room. A young girl came to serve us.
After breakfast, he told me he had to go somewhere. He dressed in military uniform and left.
I stayed alone in the house. I tried to go outside, but all the doors were locked. So I started searching the house.
There were weapons hidden everywhere — in every room. I didn’t dare touch anything; I simply observed.
In the afternoon, I found a key in the drawer of our bed. I tried it on all the doors — it was the key to the back door. I kept it.
An hour later, Jason returned with two men and gathered the others who were around the house under a shelter outside. The main gate was left open. I figured it was my chance to escape.
I quietly slipped out through the back door and managed to leave through the gate.
I found myself in the middle of nowhere — no houses in sight, only endless trees.
I didn’t know where to go. I was scanning the surroundings, trying to figure out how to escape when a man shouted:
"She’s out!"
I panicked and started running as fast as I could. But eventually, they caught up with me.
"Where do you think you’re going?" said the man who caught me.
"Don’t hurt her," said the other man. "She’s Bobby’s girl. Let’s just bring her back."
He carried me and brought me back to the house. I was so out of breath that I couldn’t say a word.
Once inside, he left me in the living room. Jason was standing there, sipping his coffee. He looked at me, smiling, then put his finger on his lips while laughing.
"Cristal, Cristal, Cristal," he said. "The more I get to know you, the more I like you. So you tried to escape, huh?"
Then his tone changed. He grew serious:
"You still don’t understand, apparently. Let me explain — we are about 1700 kilometers from the city. And you think you can escape? Even if you managed to leave, in this whole area, you would only run into my men — and they would bring you back to me.
You’re lucky that most of them know you — otherwise, they would r**e and kill you like a worthless dog."
He approached me and looked into my eyes.
"Let this be the last time you attempt something like that. Do I make myself clear?"
Somehow, I found the courage to kick him between the legs and ran up to the bedroom.
He followed me. I slammed the door shut and pressed against it to keep him from entering, but there was no lock.
He violently forced the door open and burst inside, charging at me in fury…
He was really angry. He grabbed my hair violently, pulling me close against his chest and forcing me to look at him.
"You know what? I don’t even feel like hitting you because you’re a woman. I’m not used to laying my hands on women, you’re all so fragile..."
Then he let me go. I felt a bit relieved.
"But I will still punish you," he added, throwing me onto the bed and climbing on top of me.
"Nooo!" I screamed, "Don’t do this!"
"Oh yes, I will." He tore my dress apart, then fully removed it, and began sucking my breasts while biting my n*****s softly. Then he started kissing my neck, nibbling gently.
"I’m sorry," I pleaded, "I won’t ever do it again."
"You’re right; you’ll never make such a mistake again."
He had s*x with me in a beast-like manner. It was very painful. When he was finished, he went into the bathroom to take a shower. I was left lying on the bed, crying. When he came back out, he looked at me with a smile and made a very brief phone call:
"Hello? Bring the girl. I think she’s bored."
I looked at him, confused by what he had just said.
"Go take a bath, we’re going to have dinner," he told me in an authoritative tone.
I obeyed and went into the bathroom, where I burst into tears.
"I didn’t say cry, I said take a bath!" he shouted from the other room, having heard me.
I took my bath. Once again, he decided what I would wear. He asked me to put on a very short red dress with a neckline that wasn’t too deep this time. I was uncomfortable in it, but he was thrilled.
"Wow, you’re beautiful! You know what I love? Everything you wear fits you perfectly—with that body, wow, I adore it." He tried to give me a kiss, but I turned my head away.
"Okay," he said. "Let’s go."
I walked in front of him. At the door, he stopped me.
"I love you," he said. "I love you like I’ve never loved anyone before."
"You don’t treat someone you love like this," I told him as I started walking away.
He stopped me again.
"You’re the one who doesn’t let me treat you right. Accept me, and you’ll see there’s no one like me."
"I’m hungry. Can we go eat?" I said to change the subject.
"Okay, baby, as you wish."
We sat at the table, which was already set. We began eating. As we were eating, an armed man barged in.
"Bobby, she’s already here," he said to Jason.
"Let her in," Jason replied.
To my great surprise, it was Sara.
"Sara!" I exclaimed, overwhelmed to see her.
"Good evening, sir," she said politely.
"Come join us. I’m so happy to see you," I told her.
"No thank you, I’m not hungry," she replied.
I stood up and tried to walk toward her.
"Finish your plate," Jason ordered. "You’ll have plenty of time to talk to her. She’s here for you."
"I’m not hungry," I answered.
"I said finish your plate," he repeated firmly.
After the meal, I joined Sara, who was waiting for me. Jason went outside.
"You seem fine in this house," Sara said.
"You’re joking. I’m miserable, Sara. He keeps hurting me."
"Accept him, Cristal. Maybe he’ll treat you better."
"He’s a criminal."
"Not just any criminal. He’s the biggest and the most dangerous one," she said.
"So you think I should just accept him and everything will be fine? He r***s me, he killed my parents..." I said in tears.
"I’m sorry. Do you think I came here by choice?"
"What have they done to you? Where are you from? How long have you been here?"
"They kidnapped me ten months ago. I’m from a small village in the South. They killed all the other girls; there were five of us."
"Why did they do that?"
"I don’t know."
"And what do they make you do?"
"Whatever they want," she answered.
"Do they sleep with you?"
"Yes. You’re lucky you only have to sleep with one man."
"I’m sorry."
We talked for a while until Jason returned. When he arrived, Sara left. I went to lie down in the bedroom.
"So, what were you two talking about?" Jason asked.
"Nothing important, just girl stuff."
"Okay."
He lay next to me and held me in his arms. I didn’t want to push him away; I wanted to follow Sara’s advice.
"You know, I just want to be happy with you because I love you. Don’t be stubborn—you’ll see how exceptional I am," he said seriously.
