Chapter 12 I stared out at the sea, thinking. The moonlight reflected on the still water, and barely rocking, the Inconstant cut through the sea. I closed my eyes and thought about Phoebe and my life. “Are you cold?” Jeremiah came behind me, and I turned to see him offering me a heavy blanket. “Yes, I am.” I accepted his gift and placed it on my shoulders, wrapping it around me. The night air still bit at my nose. We stood there together, side by side, watching the dark ocean.
