Chapter 16
I paced my lounge room, waiting for George to arrive. I’d tell him everything. The doorbell rang and I jumped. If he dumped me after this then he wasn’t worth it.
“Hey Annie.” George brushed a kiss on my lips as he came through the front door. “You ready to go?”
“No. We need to talk and I don’t want to do it in public.”
George stiffened. “You breaking up with me?”
“No. But you might break up with me after you hear what I have to say.” I sat on the lounge and pulled a cushion onto my lap.
George paused a moment, looking from the recliner to the seat beside me. He sat next to me.
