Taka: Final BetI was supposed to spend part of my lunch talking to my adviser about the upcoming exams and my college selections. A joke of a topic, really, since I knew I didn’t have a choice in which university I’d be going to. But still, my father wanted me to take the entrance exams for a bunch of other schools too so I’d be able to say I’d passed the exams for them. Or really, so he could brag about how his son had been smart enough to pass all those big school’s tests but had chosen to stay local to continue helping his father. Nice, sweet-sounding bunch of bull. When I got to the teacher’s lounge, though, my adviser was hurrying out.
