Myra’s point of view
When I woke up next, the clock had nearly struck noon. But I feel more refreshed than ever. I quickly freshened up and got myself ready for the day before I went down for breakfast.
I haven’t seen Lucas since or yet, and honestly I’m avoiding an audience with him. Now that I know who he truly is, I have got to be careful and not be around him all the time. I also can’t afford him to sniff my suspicions so I have to go seek him sooner or later.
Out of all the dishes prepared for breakfast, I settled for four slices of pancakes to go with the honey syrup.
I was halfway through my meal when Madeleine showed up at the table. I’d been the only one at the table until her arrival.
